1B STATE FOOTBALL: Touchet advances to quarterfinals

Touchet 68, Odessa-Harrington 14: Leo Garcia recorded a sack for a safety in his first series back on defense since breaking his collarbone early this season and later ran for two touchdowns as the Indians advanced to the Class 1B state quarterfinals.

Colter McKeown scored on an 8-yard run and returned an interception 38 yards for a score to help Touchet build a 60-0 third-quarter lead.

Garcia, Elias Martinez and Edgar Rincon combined for 158 rushing yards and six touchdowns on the ground for the Indians.

The Indians will face Wilbur-Creston in the 1B quarterfinals next weekend.
