1A STATE FOOTBALL: Royal stomps Riverside 42-0

Darrin Mille ran for three scores and Kaden Jenks threw for two more as Royal flat ran over Riverside 42-0 in a Class 1A state playoff first-round game Friday night in Royal City.

Royal racked up 379 total yards while holding Riverside to 125. Miller ran for 125 and Miguel Ayala 83. The Knights (8-3) play the winner of today’s River View-Freeman game in the quarterfinals.
