Soap for Hope donation drive now under way

By The Tri-City HeraldNovember 14, 2013

AAA's sixth annual Soap for Hope donation drive to collect hygiene and toiletry items for local charitable organizations is under way.

With the aid of local businesses and community partners, AAA has collected almost 377,000 toiletry items since the campaign's launch in 2008. Donations have been distributed to dozens of shelters, food banks and other charitable organizations in Washington and northern Idaho.

This year, all donations collected in the Tri-Cities will benefit Domestic Violence Treatment Services of Franklin County. Donations can be made at the Tri-Cities AAA office, 6501 W. Grandridge Blvd., Suite G in Kennewick.

New full- and sample-size toiletry items such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes will be accepted. For more information, visit www.aaa.com/SoapForHope.
