Wrong-way driver causes I-182 rollover in Pasco, WSP says

Tri-City HeraldNovember 12, 2013

— A Kennewick man rolled his car Tuesday afternoon when he swerved to avoid a head-on collision with a car driving the wrong direction on Interstate 182, the Washington State Patrol said.

Patrick D. Macvane, 21, was driving east on the interstate in Pasco when he saw a four-door car driving the wrong way in his lanes around 1:35 p.m., the state patrol said. Macvane swerved and rolled his Pontiac Grand Am twice, flipping the car upside down.

The driver of the four-door car continued driving west in the eastbound lanes and has not been found, state patrol said.

Macvane was injured but was not taken to the hospital, the state patrol said. His car was totaled.
