UPDATE: Woman, 2-year-old hurt in wreck near Burbank

November 11, 2013

A 22-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy were reportedly thrown from a pickup when it flipped over Monday morning on Highway 12 near Dodd Road outside Burbank.

Both were seriously hurt, according to initial reports.

The woman, Julieta Lopez, 22, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland and the child, Marcos Lopez, was taken to Trios Health in Kennewick.

The Chevrolet pickup left the highway to the left and the driver overcorrected to the right and then back to the left, causing the pickup to roll, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A police report said it was unknown if Julieta Lopez was wearing a seatbelt or the child was properly buckled into a car seat.
