Woman dies in Pasco hit and run

November 10, 2013

Pasco police are searching for a vehicle that struck and killed a woman Saturday night.

The hit and run happened near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Lewis Street at about 8:45 p.m. when the victim was struck in the crosswalk, a release said. She was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead after arriving. Her identity hasn't been released.

Authorities said the vehicle left the scene and drove over the blue bridge into Kennewick. Neither the vehicle nor its driver have been located but the vehicle was described as a Ford sport utility vehicle, possibly an Explorer model, that is dark or maroon in color. It also possibly had a chrome bumper and may have damage to its headlights or windshield because of the crash.

Anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle is encouraged to call 911.
