Community members are invited to help Hanford High School wind ensemble and orchestra students raise money for their trip to perform at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis in March.

There are two events:

-- A Goodwill trailer fundraiser will be in the Hanford High south parking lot from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16.

Gently used clothing, household items, books, shoes and other items will be accepted, except for mattresses. The school receives 10 cents per pound donated.

-- A yard sale and Christmas bazaar will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 16, at Hanford High Commons.

Thirty-six vendors will sell items such as jewelry, toys, games, home decorations, clothing, collectibles, furniture and more.

Twenty-eight high school ensembles from across the country were selected by recorded audition to perform at the festival.

"This is the most prestigious performance opportunity a high school-level ensemble can earn," said Hanford instrumental music teacher Kevin Swisher.

"The educational experience for the students is unmatched," he said.
