Mid-Columbia Libraries is looking for a new board member after one resigned.

Randal Fox, who was appointed to the board in 2008 to represent Benton County, turned in a letter of resignation after the board's latest meeting, said library spokeswoman Jennifer Aalgaard. She said she did not know why Fox resigned.

Anyone living in Benton County can apply. Applications are available at any of the branch libraries and at www.midcolumbialibraries.org.

Applications will be accepted until Dec. 6. The library district's governance committee will review them and conduct interviews before making a recommendation to commissioners in Benton and Franklin counties.
