Othello school board results

Tri-City HeraldNovember 5, 2013

A measure that would change how people are elected to the Othello School Board received approval Tuesday night.

The measure received 64 percent approval, or 503 votes, in Adams and Franklin counties.

Voters were asked to change the Othello School Board from having five members elected based on where they live to a format where four are elected based on their residence and a fifth member elected at large.

Superintendent George Juarez said the change would help with filling board vacancies in the future and possibly entice more people to seek a seat on the board.
