Volleyball: Selah ends Prosser's season

Selah 3, Prosser 1: The Huskies needed four sets to bounce the Mustangs from the District 5/6 tournament in Ellensburg on Tuesday.

Haylie Pederson led the Mustangs with 13 kills, while Taylor Meirndors handed out 30 assists and had four service aces.

Set scores: Selah 25-16, 25-17, 21-25, 25-13. Prosser—Rachel Harle 26 digs; Haylie Pederson 13K; Kassidy Durbin 8K; Brook Haringa 15 digs, 3 aces; Taylor Meirndorf 30 assists, 4 aces.

Connell 3, La Salle 0: Jessica Hawkins had nine kills, 13 digs, was 18-of-18 serving and had three aces as the host Eagles won a District 5 tournament opener against the Lightning.

Columbia (Burbank) 3, Goldendale 2: The Coyotes rallied from two sets down to beat the Timberwolves in the first round of the District 5 tournament in Burbank.

Set scores: Columbia-Burbank 21-25, 11-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-13.
