Mid-Columbia Tri-Cities SCORE, which holds small business workshops and offers mentoring services, has added five new chapter representatives to its staff.

Cathy Adkisson is the chapter's office administrator. Her primary role is to direct day-to-day operations internally and be the bridge to new clients seeking help with their business needs.

SCORE also added Chris Porter, a certified public accountant who has his own practice in Richland; Darci Nilson, chapter treasurer, also a current CPA with her own practice in Richland; and L. Jake Carpenter, a financial adviser with Equilus Financial Group in Kennewick.

Jim Reinhardt, the only retired mentor on staff, brings a wealth of knowledge from the manufacturing industry.

With Mid-Columbia Tri-Cities SCORE expanding its mentoring roster, Chapter Chairman Simon Mahler said in a press release that they are looking at expanding their marketing program to get people more familiar with their services.

Mid-Columbia Tri-Cities SCORE would like to continue to build its roster with additions of a fundraising coordinator, marketing outreach coordinator, technologist and a workshop coordinator.

If interested in volunteering in any of those areas or to be a business mentor, call 735-1000 or go to www.midcolumbiatricities.score.org.
