1B FOOTBALL: Liberty Christian rolls to win

John Lesser ran for three touchdowns and Tate Richards for two as the visiting Liberty Christian Patriots steamrolled LaCrosse-Washtucna 78-8 in Southeast 1B football action Friday night in LaCrosse.

The Patriots rolled up 40 points in the first quarter as Evon Branton scored twice, once on a 26-yard fumble recovery.

Freshman Scott Swanson threw for 83 yards and completed both of his passes for touchdowns.

Liberty Christian will finish the regular season Thursday hosting St. John Endicott at Hanford High School.

Touchet 64, Pomeroy 14: Indians quarterback Elias Martinez returned an interception 28 yards for a touchdown and caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Colter McKeown on a halfback option as Touchet remained tied for the Southeast 2B lead.

The Indians rolled up a 47-0 lead before Pomeroy put its first points on the board, a 20-yard run by Cade Snyder in the third quarter.
