1A FOOTBALL: River View routs Burbank

November 1, 2013

The River View Panthers bounced back from a Week 8 loss to Connell with a lopsided 61-20 football win over their SCAC East rival Coyotes on Friday night.

River View quarterback Ruvim Tyutyunnik completed 16 of 19 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns, and also ran for another.

Terran Brown caught a 40-yard TD pass from Tyutyunnik and returned a kickoff 81 yards for a score as the Panthers opened up a 54-13 halftime lead.

“It was just nice to rebound well. The kids played hard. They wanted to redeem themselves after a tough loss,” River View coach Brett Jay said. “I thought we executed well as an offense. Our offensive line was giving us lots of time and also lots of running lanes.”

Cody Fraker scored twice for Columbia-Burbank, on a 5-yard pass from Justin McBride and a 50-yard run.

Cody Hand caught seven passes for 145 yards and a touchdown, and Brown hauled in four catches for 120 yards.
