Election letter -- State Senate: Brown

I request my fellow 8th Legislative District residents to vote for Sen. Sharon Brown this election and return her to the state Senate. I am very proud and honored to have met with Brown on an opportunity for a nuclear energy initiative for our community that would use our community assets and provide family wage jobs for craft and professional workers.

Earlier this year, Sharon Brown, in the middle of the state budget debates, met with me and a labor colleague on a Sunday afternoon prior to her five-hour return trip to Olympia. I was very impressed that she had already investigated the subject and had taken action, during a difficult fiscal year, to include state money to assist the community efforts on this initiative to provide regional economic sustainability as the Hanford projects progress toward completion.

I am proud of the good work she has already accomplished in the Senate this year on several issues, and I look forward to her continued service. We are working hard on a revitalized nuclear element in our state's energy picture and appreciate her insight and action on this issue.
