Election letter -- State Senate: Brown

November 1, 2013

This letter is in support of Sharon Brown for state Senator. I have known Sharon for several years and have been impressed by her dedication to representing the interests of this area.

When she was mayor pro tem for the city of Kennewick, she worked tirelessly on behalf of her constituents. As our state Senator, she is serving us well.

She called me from the floor of the Senate last session when she spotted some legislation that would have adversely affected medical practices. We worked together, and she was able to get an amendment to hang on that legislation that addressed my concerns.

Additionally, I personally had the opportunity to discuss matters important to my profession with both the chairwoman and vice chairman of the Senate Health Care Committee a couple of weeks ago when both accepted Sharon's invitation to visit the Tri-Cities to listen to us. It was great to have one-on-one time with individuals who are making decisions that affect my medical practice. We need to send Sharon back to Olympia so that our voices will continue to be heard.
