Semis damaged in I-82 crash

Tri-City HeraldOctober 31, 2013

Two semis were damaged in a crash on Interstate 82 just south of Kennewick late Wednesday night.

Jerry Thomas Witherow, 37, of Olympia was driving behind Garry Leroy Bittick, 58, of Lind, in the eastbound lanes of the highway around 10 p.m., said a Washington State Patrol release.

Witherow was not paying attention and speeding, causing him to strike the rear of Bittick’s rig. No one was injured in the crash but Witherow’s semi had to be towed from the scene.
