-- Uptown Shopping Center trick-or-treating is from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Richland shopping center off George Washington Way.

-- Annual Safe and Spooktacular Halloween Party at Life Care Center of Richland starts at 6:30 p.m. Includes food, a cake walk, a "Holiday Hallway" that's like a haunted house but appropriate for preschoolers, and booths with games and activities such as face-painting. Costumes are welcome. Kids will be able to trick-or-treat within the center's hallways. Life Care Center is at 44 Goethals Drive.

-- Out for Blood event combines an American Red Cross blood drive with a fall festival. From noon to 4 p.m, the public is invited to donate blood at the TRAC facility, 6600 Burden Blvd., Pasco. Walk-up registration is welcome, though appointments can be made in advance. Canned food also will be collected. All participants who donate blood or up to five cans of food will receive a 5-by-7 professional portrait from Kim Fetrow Photography. There also will be a number of family-aimed activities available, including a trick-or-treat street for children, juice and cookies, hayrides, pumpkin painting and live music, lasting until 8 p.m. Visitors are welcome to wear their Halloween costumes. Circle K and Imageworks are sponsors. For more information and to preregister for donating blood, go to http://imageworks.co/.
