Election letter -- Voting tools

The League of Women Voters of Benton and Franklin Counties encourages everyone to be a part of the 2013 election by casting your ballot.

If you have any questions about how to register to vote or any other election-related questions, please visit VOTE411.org. Still debating a yes or no vote on a state ballot measure? Check out LivingVotersGuide.org. It's a free, nonpartisan website that is fact-checked by the Seattle Public Library staff.

We are reminded of the quote by Abraham Lincoln, "Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters."

The League of Women Voters invites you to join us in making our communities fair, safe and strong by voting this year. It is the most important thing you can do to shape the future of your democracy.

Tri-City Herald is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
