Election letter -- Kennewick city: Britain

I have known Don Britain for almost 15 years. He is a trustworthy and honest person, the type of person we need to continue to be on city council. When Don was elected to the council four years ago, wasteful spending was rampant on pet projects, and questionable decision making by the previous council had gotten Kennewick into some real bad issues.

Today, the city is running very smoothly and decisions have been solid and sound. New businesses are choosing to locate in Kennewick because of policies Don has approved. Over the past four years Don has kept our property tax levy rate lower each year, brought fiscal responsibility to the city, helped create an improved customer service culture at city hall, instituted a Pay for Performance program for city employees including the city manager, and repaired broken partnerships in the community. He supports emergency services and is endorsed by the Kennewick Fire Fighters and Sheriff Steve Keane.

Don is willing to listen to his constituents and has an open mind to different ideas. Please join me in voting to re-elect Don Britain to the Kennewick City Council. He is the right choice.
