Boys & Girls Clubs get grant from ConAgra

By The Tri-City HeraldOctober 29, 2013

The ConAgra Foundation gave a $15,000 "Nourish Our Community" grant to the Boys & Girls Club locations in Benton and Franklin counties Oct. 29.

The grant will be used to increase the food storage capabilities at Boys & Girls Club locations in Pasco, Kennewick and Prosser. It also will help fund two programs, Healthy Habits and Positive Sprouts.

Healthy Habits is an eight-week program targeting club members ages 6 to 18 to promote the benefits of eating smart and being physically active.

Positive Sprouts focuses on nutrition education and hands-on gardening.
