Kennewick doctor earns Life Care Center award

October 29, 2013

Dr. Thomas Cooper of Life Care Center of Kennewick has been named Physician of the Year for Life Care Centers of America's Northwest Division, a news release said.

The award was presented Oct. 20 during a ceremony in Tennessee, the release said.

"Dr. Cooper has the best bedside manner of any doctor we have ever seen. When he approaches a new resident and his or her family, he empathizes with the wants and needs of the patient as he would one of his own family members," said David Bake, executive director of Life Care Center in Kennewick, in the release.

Cooper became the center's on-site physician in April 2012, the release said.
