Election Letter: West Richland, Johnson

October 28, 2013

In reply to Don Buechler's letter on Oct. 7, Brent Gerry voted for the city's Renaissance proposal that included part of Flat Top Park's parking area being rezoned to commercial so a multiuse complex could be built. A new city hall and a variety of businesses. Re-do the eyesore along Van Giesen first.

Gerry is endorsed by the same people who are so inept at their jobs they face two lawsuits challenging their understanding of their own city codes.

City council voted to rezone part of Canal Heights, knowing a protective covenant requires "all properties shall be residential." Gerry not only voted yes, but also made the motion to do so.

The city hall clique may not endorse Merle Johnson, but the people endorse him.

ED COYNE, West Richland
