Southridge's Freund wins dive meet

Danielle Freund of Southridge scored 395.30 points on 11 dives at Central Washington University to come within 3.75 points of the Suns’ school record set by Katie Smoot (399.05). Danielle Brandon of Kamiakin finished second among Class 3A divers and qualified for state with a mark of 333.80.

Ali Brandt of Wenatchee (333.75) won the Class 4A event, topping Kelsea Hinkley of Richland (317.25), who also qualified for the 4A state meet.
