Outlaws outskate Bellingham in hockey

Kyle Miller Smith broke a 1-1 tie with 16 seconds left in the third period, lifting the Tri-City Outlaws to a 2-1 over the Bellingham Blazers in a NORPAC win in Bellingham.

Tri-City goaltender Stephen Hunter stopped 56 of 57 shots in goal, holding off the Blazers during a whirlwind third period of 20 Bellingham shots.

Brendan Odell scored the Outlaws’ first goal in the second period and assisted on the game-winner.
