Cold weather, wind coming to Tri-Cities Monday

October 25, 2013

— The good weather news for the Tri-Cities is that the pattern of patchy early morning fog over the last 10 days should end Monday.

But the bad weather news is a cold wind will be blowing it away.

A strong cold front will move across the Mid-Columbia Sunday, bringing a temperature drop of as much as 15 to 20 degrees Monday through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The front will result in gusty winds starting Sunday night and continuing Monday.

The highs Monday through Wednesday in the Tri-Cities should drop to the mid 50s in the Tri-Cities.

Overnight lows will be well below freezing at about 26 to 27 degrees Monday and Tuesday night. Wednesday night the low should be about 31 degrees.
