Election letter -- West Richland: Merle

October 25, 2013

Merle Johnson remains the best choice for mayor of West Richland. After all the political posturing, the rhetoric, the new signs by his opponent and the letters to the editor, Merle is the person who does care about this community and its values and will work to ensure that we all have a voice in its future.

I'd like to believe that Flat Top is safe from development, and that Griggs won't move in next door, and that residents of the Austin Drive area and Bombing Range Road have nothing to be concerned about. However, letters from ex-mayors and people touting the current council telling us not to worry, and that won't happen, don't give me a warm feeling. Remember, this is the same council that voted to rezone some of the land. I believe that Merle is a man we can place our trust in and that he will do his best to represent this city and move us forward in a manner that is in all our best interests. Please join me in voting for Merle.
