Mid-Columbia Libraries plans book sale

By the Herald staffOctober 24, 2013

Thousands of books, audiobooks and more will be for sale at the Mid-Columbia Libraries for the Friends of the Library semi-annual Giant Book Sale.

Books in like-new condition, ranging from hardcovers to paperback to audiobooks, will be available for as low as $1. Children's and young adult books also will be available for 25 cents each.

Friends of Mid-Columbia Libraries raises more than $300,000 every year to support libraries. This money pays for programs that the libraries cannot offer otherwise.

The book sale will take place on the following days: from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Kennewick branch of the Mid-Columbia Libraries on Union Street.
