Cross country: Asotin edges Tri-Cities Prep boys in league meet

District 9 League Meet 4: The Tri-Cities Prep boys cross country team narrowly lost a league meet at Big Cross in Pasco on Wednesday.

Kelly Smith took third for the Jaguars in a time of 16:46.22 to lead five runners in the top 10 for Tri-Cities Prep, but Asotin had four scoring runners in the top eight to pick up the win.

Waitsburg-Prescott’s Emily Adams was the best local finisher on the girls side, taking fourth place.
