Volleyball roundup: Riverhawks, Bombers win on road

Chiawana 3, Pasco 0: The Riverhawks made 16 serving errors and 17 hitting errors, but were able to overcome it all for a Mid-Columbia Conference road victory against the rival Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Shantelle Hill’s 24 kills and 12 digs led Chiawana, which has already wrapped up the Class 4A No. 1 seed to the District 5 tournament.

Catelyn Linke had seven kills and two aces for Pasco, while Lindsey Scott added four kills and three blocks.

Richland 3, Walla Walla 2: Hailey Turner had 18 kills, Peyton Wahl scooped up 53 digs and the Bombers came back from down 2-1 to win the MCC road match.

Rachel Connolly added 23 assists and 15 digs, while Sienna Becker, Macey Weitz and Lexi Lacey combined for 32 kills.

Hermiston 3, Pendleton 2: The Bulldogs climbed out of a 16-6 hole in the fourth set to rally for a victory over the archrival Buckaroos in Columbia River Conference action.

Set scores: 14-25, 25-19, 16-25, 30-28, 17-15. Hermiston—Noa Ena 10 kills, 16 digs; Hannah Mabbott 7 kills; Bree Kestler 11 digs, 25 assists; Shay Kennison 24-of-27 serving, 4 aces; Shelby Sanders 8 blocks.

Prosser 3, Wapato 0: Haylie Pederson and Courtney Scott combined for 15 kills and Rachel Harle had 20 digs as the Mustangs swept the CWAC road match.

Grandview 3, Othello 1: Taylor Hall had 17 kills, 15 digs and two aces to lead the visiting Greyhounds to a CWAC victory.

Connell 3, Warden 0: Melody Davidson had seven kills and was 8-for-8 serving as the Eagles won an SCAC East match at home.

Jessica Hawkins added eight kills and Courtney Colclasure had 28 assists as Connell remained unbeaten in league.

Ashley Martinez had 18 digs to lead the Cougars.

Tri-Cities Prep 3, Asotin 0: Mary Seiner had seven kills and 17 digs, and Danika Whitsett dished out 17 assists as the Jaguars completed a perfect 10-0 Southeast 2B season with a road win.
