2 adults, child injured in crash outside Benton City

— Two adults and a child were injured Tuesday evening in a two-car crash on Highway 224 about a mile east of Benton City, the Washington State Patrol said.

Johnny D. Allstead, 75, of Benton City, was driving a 1995 Mercury Villager station wagon when he struck the back of another car that was stopped to make a lefthand turn, the state patrol said.

The driver making the turn onto Flagstone Drive was Virginia A. Kreutz, 44, of Benton City. She was driving a 2005 Subaru Baja.

Jennifer K. Lacroix, 12, of Benton City, was a passenger in Allstead’s car.

All three were injured and taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland with unknown injuries.

The crash happened about 6 p.m.
