Election letter: Jones for Richland City Council

October 20, 2013

When deciding what type of leader to elect, we may consider many important characteristics that we would want a leader to embody, in addition to how they stand on significant issues. Some of the characteristics would look for include caring for the well-being of the community, devotion and dedication to the position of leadership and wisdom. We want to be confident that the person in charge has our best interest in mind, can make sound decisions and is thorough in his or her approach.

From my observation and experience of working with him, Greg Jones, candidate for Richland City Council, embodies all of these characteristics.

In his work with the city, Jones has shown an in-depth knowledge of significant issues in the community. With his experience of enhancing the quality of life in our city, understanding the need of revitalizing the Uptown Shopping Center and making the Duportail Bridge a reality, Jones has shown that he has the grit to tackle the tough issues facing our city.

With 35 years of engineering and government experience and as the vice chairman of the Richland Parks and Recreation Commission, Jones has demonstrated his commitment and dedication to improving the quality of life in our city.
