Four Mesa people, including two children, injured in two-car collision

— A two-car collision Saturday sent four Mesa people, including two children, to the hospital, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Furniture reportedly fell out of a Chevy pickup driven by Eduardo D. Miranda-Madrigal, 21, on Highway 395 south of Connell, state patrol said. A 9-year-old boy was a passenger in the truck.

The pickup stopped in the right lane around 10 a.m. and was rear-ended by an SUV driven by Jose D. Magana-Lopez, 31, state patrol said. A 2-year-old girl was a passenger in the SUV.

The two juveniles were taken to Trios Health, formerly Kennewick General Hospital, following the collision. Both men were taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

The conditions of everyone involved in the collision were not immediately available.
