Cross country: Hermiston boys pick up win

Kyle Burnside Wildhorse Invite: The Hermiston boys were the runaway winners, scoring just 29 points behind a 1-2 finish from Jose Macias and Alejandro Cisneros. Tri-Cities Prep edged Pendleton by two points for second, led by Kelly Smith in seventh and Phillip Geist in ninth Friday.

On the girls side, Hermiston finished fourth followed immediately by Tri-Cities Prep.
