Cross country: Richland's Williams, Bradley win titles

Richland's Lindsey Bradley cruises to a first-place finish on Thursday in 17:22.9 during a Mid-Columbia Conference cross country meet at Lawrence Scott Park in Kennewick.

The Kamiakin boys dominated the second Mid-Columbia League meet Thursday at Lawrence Scott Park in Kennewick.

The Braves went 6-0 in duals, placing five runners in the top six led by Garrett Kraal’s second-place finish in 14 minutes, 56.8 seconds. Andrew Snyder was third in 15:12.6 and Keegan McCormick fourth in 15:15.9.

Richland finished 5-1 led by Michael Williams, who won the title in 14:48.2. Walla Walla was 4-2, Hanford 3-3, Southridge 2-4, Chiawana 1-5 and Pasco 0-6.

On the girls side, Walla Walla went 4-0 led by Courtney Cox’s second-place finish in 17:43.3. Kamiakin was 3-1 led by Kaylee Sanchez’s third-place finish in 18:02.1. Richland’s Lindsey Bradley ran a season-best time to win at 17:22.9. Hanford was 2-2, Richland 1-3 and Southridge 1-3.

Charlotte Kiehne was sixth for the Falcons in a time of 18:36.8.

SCAC Meet at Zillah: Royal swept the boys and girls titles, as Marcos Quiroz ran his best time of the year.

Quiroz won the boys title in 16:32.9, while teammate Riley Lefler was third in 17:03.7.

Meghan Mianecki had the top time for Royal on the girls side, finishing in 21:27.4.

Yakama Tribal’s Tim Celstine won the meet in 16:40. Kiona-Benton’s Morgan Carter was seventh to lead the girls team, finishing in 25:58.
