Election letter: Kennewick Port -- Moak

October 17, 2013

As someone who has spent 45 years in economic development, I am always pleased to support candidates who have both vision and an understanding of the economic development process. The latter requires careful planning, creative financing partnerships and careful stewardship. Tom Moak is such a candidate. His previous experience in public office has been very hands-on, and that is what is needed now with the Port of Kennewick.

The port faces many development challenges and opportunities in the years ahead: Clover Island, bridge to bridge development, Vista Field, and Red Mountain. All are important projects that will require vision, working partnerships and creative funding. Tom Moak is uniquely qualified to help move these projects forward while creating new jobs and tax base for the citizens of the Tri-Cities.

Please join me in supporting Tom Moak.
