Election letter: Pasco Proposition 1 -- No

October 17, 2013

I hope the citizens of Pasco can see past the deception regarding Proposition 1 and the move for de-annexation. Proposition 1 has absolutely nothing to do with the voting rights as the signs would have you believe.

Proposition 1 is about splitting Pasco into unmanageable pieces. The results of a favorable vote could place certain citizens in serious jeopardy in the future. First, they would have no access to sewer and water if it becomes necessary to replace non-working wells or septic systems. Secondly, various government-provided services such as fire and ambulance service would have to come from outside service providers.

When I am asked where I reside, I proudly state, "Pasco;" not "Franklin County," and not "Riverview." I strongly support a unified Pasco with its great quality of life and strong citizens. Let's preserve it. Please vote no on Proposition 1.

Annexed and loving it!
