Police search for Kennewick hit and run suspect

— Police are working to identify a driver who reportedly hit two people on Wednesday night as they crossed the street in Kennewick.

Daniel Reyes, 18, and Floriza Vejar, 44, were in the crosswalk at 10th Avenue and Washington Street when a vehicle hit them, police said. The vehicle then fled scene, leaving Reyes and Vejar lying in the street.

The pair was taken to Trios Health, formerly Kennewick General Hospital, where they were treated and released, police said.

A small dog Vejar was carrying when she was hit was not injured.

Police did not release a description of the vehicle or the driver.
