The Pasco School District will have an informational meeting today for people interested in applying for a vacant position on the Pasco School Board.
District officials will go over the roles and responsibilities of board members at the meeting. It will be at 4:30 p.m. in the board room at the district's administrative building at 1215 W. Lewis St.
The position was vacated by Ruben Peralta, who left for personal reasons.
Interested candidates must live in the district, be a U.S. citizen and a registered voter. Applications are available at the district office and at www.psd1.org.
Current board members will review the applications. Finalists will be interviewed during a public meeting Oct. 29, with the winning candidate being decided in an executive session after.
