Kennewick High teen driving rally set Friday

By the Herald staffOctober 16, 2013

Kennewick High School seeks to raise awareness of the dangers of teen driving and encourage safety and wise choices with a Celebrate My Drive kick-off rally.

The event is at 10:50 a.m. Friday, in the school courtyard and includes speakers from the Kennewick High Key Club, student leadership, school administration, Kennewick Police Department, and Micki McKinnon of State Farm Insurance.

Celebrate My Drive is a program sponsored by State Farm Insurance to unite communities, support schools and help students stay safe on the roads.

Schools registered in the program have the chance to be selected as one of a hundred winning schools and awarded up to $100,00 in grants and a Kelly Clarkson concert.
