Class on making pie crusts planned Saturday in Richland

Learn how to make perfect pie crust at a cooking class from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Northwest Regional Food Hub, 603 Goethals, Richland, just south of Lee Boulevard.

The class will include a demonstration of two different methods and discussion of the food science involved, as well as lots of how-to tips. There also will be taste-testing of samples of bad, better and best pie crusts.

Cost is $15 and includes class materials and a slice of fresh baked pie. Pre-registration at the NW Regional Food Hub is required.
