Election letter: Port of Kennewick -- Barnes

October 15, 2013

I think the Tri City Herald staff was right on in recommending Don Barnes for Kennewick Port Commissioner. I have enjoyed working with Don for 12 years and I know him to be a very intelligent man who is honest and fair in every aspect of his business and personal life. I am very confident in Don's ability to serve our district as port commissioner. He has already proven that he is up to the job by taking on the troubles at Vista Field. Closing the airport had to be a hard decision for Don because he is also a pilot. It showed me he can look beyond old-school politics and make choices that benefit all of us.

The Herald was right in saying Don is a newbie, but a fresh face is just what the port needs right now and he is doing a great job. Please join me in voting for Don Barnes. He is the right choice for the Port of Kennewick because he is smart, trustworthy and will represent all of us.
