Kennewick police looking for Walmart theft suspect

Kennewick police say a man stole stereo equipment from the Walmart on South Quillan Street on Friday night, and they want the public's help to find him.

The incident happened about 7:20 p.m.

Officers arrived as the man was driving away in a pickup truck. He nearly hit a patrol car and jumped a curb in the process, a police news release said.

The man drove toward the Canyon Lakes Golf Course and ditched the truck, running away on foot, the release said.
