Parenting, teaching author to visit Mid-Columbia

Tri-City HeraldOctober 11, 2013

A parenting and teaching speaker and author will visit the Mid-Columbia in early November to talk about inspiring children to meet their potential.

Mac Bledsoe taught in the region for 30 years and is the father of NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe, according to a release.

His presentation, "Happy Homes and Empty Prisons -- It's About the Ideas and Pictures In Our Child's Head," aims to show parents and teachers how to influence children so they discover their identity and capabilities.

Bledsoe will be at First Baptist Church at 1107 Wright Ave. in Richland on Nov. 2. He'll then have a presentation at New Hope Church at 1350 S. Highway 395 in Hermiston on Nov. 4. Both presentations will be at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $14 and can be purchased in advance at Barracuda Coffee on Van Giesen Street for the Richland appearance or at Alive & Well on Highway 395 for the Hermiston event. They also can be purchased online at www.midcolumbiaparenting.org.
