Blue Mountain Wildlife plans

PENDLETON -- Blue Mountain Wildlife will have its annual open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in Pendleton.

The free event will feature live raptors, falconry demonstrations, tours of the flight pens and 40 birds of prey, live music, drawings, refreshments and more.

The Pendleton Rehabilitation and Education Center is at 71046 Appaloosa Lane, Pendleton.

From Interstate 84, take exit 209, turn left onto Highway 395 South. In about five miles, turn right on Arabian Drive. In a half-mile, turn left on Appaloosa. The center is on the right.

The nonprofit Blue Mountain Wildlife serves 16 counties and 50,000 square miles.
