Letter: Unelect everyone in Washington, D.C.

October 8, 2013

I'm angry and frustrated. The legislators in Washington, D.C., take our money by taxes and then come up with crazy ideas on how to hit Americans with things, such as Obamacare, that we don't want -- and now close the national parks and museums. This shutdown is not hurting them; they don't even have to go under the same rules that they would apply to we, the people.

I'm hearing among friends that it's time to get rid of all of the legislators in Washington, D.C., because they do no know how to function as our representatives or know how to settle different points of view and come up with solutions or agreements.

We're hearing that national security will be weakened because of this shutdown and also our military, just to mention a few of these things. It's time that we, the people, shutdown Washington, D.C., by electing new people with business experiences who know how to negotiate and meet the needs of their customers. It's time to tell our legislators to quit playing games with our our tax dollars and take care of our security.

Give us Americans our liberties and freedoms as recorded in our Constitution.
