Election letter: KGH board -- Reil

October 7, 2013

I am writing this letter in support of Rick Reil for Kennewick General Hospital commissioner.

The Kennewick hospital has several current initiatives that are important to the future of the Mid-Columbia's residents, including the construction of a brand new hospital complex near Southridge.

With new federally mandated health care programs, there will be an immediate need for more medical facilities to meet the demands of our growing population. It will be essential that we have the very best resources for our community that we can put together, including the right people to manage those resources.

Because of his extensive experience on the KGH board, he is one of those essential people. I have known Rick for more than 40 years. He owns a local business and has spent most of his adult life working for the betterment of the Tri-Cities.

He was born and raised in the Tri-Cities. He is reliable, trustworthy and dependable. I know him to be a person you can rely on to get the job done right and on time. He isn't a short-timer or a quitter and won't wilt in the face of adversity.

With his experience on the KGH board as a commissioner, he will carry through to the end and help us acquire the health care resources our community needs.

MIKE DURST, Kennewick
