Awards and Achievements for Oct. 6

- The following residents made the academic dean's list at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. These students are honored for a spring grade-point average of 3.5 or better.

Pasco -- Arielle Dreher.

Richland -- Danielle Cockrell, Nathan Mather.

Sunnyside -- Katherine Herndon.

- The Columbia Basin Battalion Sea Cadets recently presented Nathan Moore with his anchors and advancement to the rank of chief petty officer. Nathan, 17, is the son of Jennifer Moore of Richland.

Nationwide, there are 12,000 Naval sea cadets, with 108 earning the rank of chief petty officer in the last year.

- The Tri-Cities Exchange Club recently donated $1,250 to the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties.
