Cold War Patriots plan compensation meetings in Richland

Cold War Patriots, a nonprofit group, plans meetings to discuss benefits and compensation available to former and current Hanford and Pacific Northwest National Laboratory workers.

The Energy Employee Occupational Illness Program offers compensation of up to $400,000 and coverage of medical expenses for workers harmed by exposure to radiation or toxic chemicals. Survivors are eligible for compensation in some cases.

The meetings will be at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Red Lion, 802 George Washington Way, Richland.

Meetings also will be at noon and 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at Oxford Suites, 1050 N. First St., Hermiston.
