Football: Hanford wins at Sunnyside 26-15

October 4, 2013

Hanford 26, Sunnyside 15: Will Bishop scored a pair of touchdowns on the ground and the Falcons defense kept the Grizzlies under wraps for a nonleague win on the road.

Hanford led 19-3 in the third quarter before Sunnyside found the end zone on a Marcus Sanchez run and a Jesus Magallan TD reception.

“Except for a couple of long passes toward the end of the game, I thought we played pretty well,” Hanford coach Rob Oram said. “We held them under 100 yards rushing and 100 yards passing — that’s a pretty good defensive effort. We were physical and persued to the ball pretty well.”
