Prosser Chamber of Commerce to hold candidate meet-and-greet

— Prosser residents can meet candidates for local and regional offices at a Wednesday, Oct. 9, public forum at the Princess Theatre. The Prosser Chamber of Commerce will play host to the candidates' forum from 7 to 9 p.m.

Theater doors will open at 6:45 p.m. The theater is at 1228 Meade Ave.

Candidates for the forum will include those running for Prosser City Council, Prosser School Board, Prosser Public Hospital District Commission, Benton fire districts 3 and 5 commissions, Court of Appeals Division 3 District 2 Judge, Benton Franklin Superior Court Judge Position 3 and the Port of Benton Commission.

Each candidate will have five minutes to present his or her qualifications, platform and goals if elected. Chamber board member Candace Andrews will be the emcee.

Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity to visit individually with the candidates.

The forum will not include a formal question and answer session. Refreshments will follow.
